Posted July 29, 200816 yr Applied July security bulletin release ( GDR ) for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise edition and security updates for Windows Server 2003 Server. Once the packages applied, ActiveX scripting for DTS stopped to work for the SQL Server. Tried to trace the cause, nothing seemed out of order in procmon.exe. Red some lore on the web and in the absence of any clues suspected components applied incompatible license. Replaced dtsPkg.dll, DtsUI.dll, and SQLDMO.DLL with respective RLL files, re - registered and got DTS ActiveX scripting up and running.
