I yearn for a newsreader that would let me killfile names found in the

They're TROLLS ! What this entire thread is all about. I have no idea who started this thread, but I find it perfectly useful like shooting fish in a barrel. I trimmed this thread to maybe 10 replies just by shooting trolls.

This thread has zero use in this group. Or any other than alt.flamewars.

Threads like this bring out all the trolls. Use it for what it's worth.

Only problem is I now have a larger killfile, that slows things down when getting headers.

My apologies for not knowing that users could post from a newsgroup to

this forum. I was unaware of this.

And why this generates a comment on my ignorance is beyond me. It shows

a level of hostility I rarely have ever come across if ever at all.

And as far as me showing where you, Adam were not 100% correct, I'm not

concerned with what you claim to be your perfection, but rather evidence

of your claim that the MVPS are wrong so often of the time.

I think it is up to you to 'put up or shut up'. -You- made the claim,

now please back it up with facts.

All we've ever seen you post is how bad Vista is and what a piece of

"crap" it is. You certainly have the right to your personal opinion...as

we all do, but how many times do you think you can post that same

statement before someone challenges you on it, huh?

And what exactly do you think that continually posting your same

personal same opinion will accomplish other than starting an argument?

Obviously you're greatly in the minority of Vista haters as most users

actually like Vista.

But you even have a problem with others liking Vista don't you? You

think they must agree with you or else they're stupid or ignorant or

crazy or don't know what they're talking about.

So my "crap" friend, that really and truly makes you the perfect

definition of a troll.

Why? Because it seems most of the MVPs are just as much trolls as the

You have it backwards. Some people access this NEWSGROUP from a forum.

That really is an important difference. Newsgroups are like the old

wild West. Anybody can say anything. Period. That's why I piss all

over any Bozo that pretends he's in charge or any of the other dumb

stunts a certain wannabe MVP who's name starts with P and also is the

name of a planet does constantly. Now watch that stuck-up phony say

I'm stalking him. No, it is more accurate to say I'm belittling him

because of how he acts and he don't like it. -)

>And why this generates a comment on my ignorance is beyond me. It shows

>a level of hostility I rarely have ever come across if ever at all.

Newsgroups by nature at times can be hostile especially when somebody

leaves the door open and somebody waltzes in and starts acting like he

owns the joint. We have lots of those type of characters here. -)

The proof is over at Google. There you'll find the usual suspects

making the same lame comments, some of the more popular summarized

below:

1. Nobody forced you to upgrade. If you don't like Vista, go back

to XP.

2. That's a driver issue.

3. You should have done a clean install.

4. The always popular fanboy theme song it isn't Microsoft's fault.

5. You didn't do research first, don't you know you're suppose to do

that.

6. All software has bugs.

7. It will be addressed in SP1

And so on.

You always thought of in one way Frank. As the freaking idiot you are.

I am NOT amazed that you troll here. You write insulting sentences all the

time. By the way sentence is spelled with an "e" not an "a", but maybe you

missed the third grade.

With 60+ millions copies of Vista sold, the majority things Vista is good.

The small sampling of problems here are only a fraction of those 60 million

users, but at your education level, you probably have trouble with that

fact.

You are an idiot pure and simple and your only goal is to make trouble.

There certainly could be fewer such replies to trolls, yes. Speaking

for myself, I try to avoid replying to trolls, but there are occasions

when I feel that it's necessary to point out the deliberate false

statements some of them make, to prevent the inexperienced reader from

mistaking their lies as facts or sound advice. I usually (but not

always I'm not perfect) don't argue with their opinions (each is

entitled to his own) or beliefs (religiously held, it seems), but I will

dispute any deliberate distortions of the true facts.

Then it's not your "opinion." You're correcting a mistake or, in the

case of some trolls, a deliberate lie.

Out of more than 2260 posts of yours to this newsgroup between January

and a few days ago (searched via Google Groups), I can find only 4 posts

that even remotely addressed technical issues, and even then you limited

yourself to saying something obvious like "Install the correct driver."

Hardly a technical font of knowledge. The only reason you post is to

troll.

Agreed and true. Good or bad, Microsoft is generous enough to have little

Actually every NG is owned by someone. The one that initially submitted it

for inclusion in the news groups. My guess would be from the name that this

particular one is OWNED by Microsoft.

If you want more info, google for how to create a news group and take it
