Audio not working when plugged into docking station

I have an Inspiron E1505 with windows Vista, also a docking station that has

a keyboard, wireless mouse, and printer attached. When I plug the computer

into the docking station, it refuses to play CDs or make any sound at all.

What should I do, besides unplugging it every time I need to run Windows

media?
