Hauppauge WinTV PVR TV Tuner Driver

HP Desktop m9060la

I prefer to get the TV-Tuner driver and WinTV app directly from :

http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_pvrpci.html

And not from

Hauppauge WinTV PVR TV Tuner Driver:

http://tinyurl.com/22t588

But I do not understand, if I download from Hauppauge:

I have to

Download the Windows2000 and Windows XP base driver (w2kdrv311.exe)

Download the WinTV-PVR driver update file pvrpcidrv15_20045.exe

Reboot

Download the latest WinTV2000 application with the new video formats.

Download the WinTV application (wintv2k339_20112.exe)

Then install this MPEG decoder.

Hauppauge MPEG decoder version 1_20032

Name: hcwsmd01.exe

size:1907K

Updated: Feb. 1, 2002

If I download from Hauppauge WinTV PVR TV Tuner Driver:

I will not have the latest driver updated, right?

Does the Summer 2006 Original Hauppauge WinTV PVR TV Tuner Driver

(sp34979.exe 1/1 (1.42M)), contains in one .exe all the drivers that I

have to install if I choose to get the TV-Tuner driver and WinTV app

directly from Hauppauge?

I do not understand, it seems than HP has a newer version than

Hauppauge why?

HP has his driver with a Release Date: 2007-05-07, Version:

2.0.43.24103

And Hauppauge version 1.5.20045

Finally is there any way to know the Releases date and Version of

Windows2000 and Windows XP base driver (w2kdrv311.exe)

WinTV-PVR driver update file pvrpcidrv15_20045.exe

WinTV application (wintv2k339_20112.exe) ?
