markw1504 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Running websites for a few years now, I've always relied on the benefits of shared hosting, but eventually one of my apps just got to big so I made the leap to my own (rented) Windows Server 2008 from which to run my site. It's a new world, but so far so good. I'm more of a programmer than a sysadmin/techie so I have a lot to learn. Hopefully this site will be useful to me and perhaps my own experiences may be useful to others. Quote

MJBryant Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I am planning on doing the same thing and am a programmer not a sys admin either. You posted in July and it is now October. Was it worth the leap? Quote
