Hi Rick, I have tried to locate the offending program, but with no

success. My only programs I use are StrongDC (which is the p2p client

which gives it's resources back, and which never takes more than 108MB

Ram max), Excel 2007, FolderMatch, FireFox and Outlook. The main problem

of Vista seems to be handling of more then 50000 files each day in 39

folders. I have a collection of my library books (which I scanned), and

each day copy/paste them because I constantly organise them futher. This

big move/copy operation is still too much for the Windows Vista OS to

handle properly without memory leaks. I have tried my hobby-occupation

on other OSse. like Linux and Windows XP, without problems. But Vista

Ultimate does not give the file-cache memory back to the memory pool.

Unless I use this SweepRAM util. I have my system examined for all known

virus- and spyware software, but there is absolutely none *ever*

detected. This is because I don't run any non-verified or trouble-making

software on my OS. Thanks anyway for your advice Mr. Rogers, but my

memory-leak case is defiinitively a hopeless one, because I am looking

for a solution for almost two years now, without a permanent patch or

OS-update. By the way, I always updates autometically via the Windows

Update and use Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1, build 6.0.6001.
