Hi all

 

Good day, I am wondering why my backup tokes 12 hrs or more to finish. I have only 100GB files to be backup everyday using the default backup server for windows 2008.

 

I am using external hard drive 1TB for the destination of my files.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you...

I only started using servers recently, but have general knowledge of workstations.

 

Have you tried another external drive? All I can think of?

Hi, are you trying to compress the backup? How do you copy files? In a shared folder? Which interface are you using? USB / FIREWIRE / ETHERNET? Are files open when you backup? Which kind of file are you trying to backup?
