SP 3 - Remote Desktop Program changes ?

Dear All:

The Machine is a HP M7690& with an intel processor 1.8 ghz

and Windows XP Media Center OS with 4 gig of Ram

I downloaded SP3.

Machine won't reboot

Tried "last known good config" and still no Joy

Ran OK in Safe Mode

Removed SP3 after no solutions worked.

I've lost the connection to Remote Desktop Program ( Icon is

still there but no connection) I use it for remote admin of a

server at a Server Farm ( Servepath) on a Windows 2003 server.

I remember seeing somewhere that SP 3 installs a different RDP program?

I downloaded the RDP program from Micosoft but it refuses to install and

replies software is already on the machine.. does not offer to overwrite.

I'm now using another machine for the Remote Admin of the server ( PITA) so

was wondering if anyone has a solution and or recommendations on another

RDP program. There a bunch out there but RDP had some cute features

for access into a Windows Server.
