hostingnest Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Hi everyone, I've been trying for 5 days now to deploy Windows Server 2008 R2 onto our server. It likes to freeze at "Expanding Files". I've tried resetting the bios, and trying to insert different RAM sticks. The first time I tried, I managed to get Windows Server 2003 Enterprise X64 installed, then I attempted to "Clean Install" Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, but that time it froze at the very last step "Completing Installation". I forgot, the motherboard is a Foxconn G33M, Pentium D 3.00GHz processor, 250GB SATA HDD, and 2GB of RAM. Please help. Thank you! Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted June 12, 2010 FPCH Admin Posted June 12, 2010 If you downloaded the ISO then download it again. Burn at slow speed and try the install again. This is the result of a bad ISO or bad burn. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
hostingnest Posted June 12, 2010 Author Posted June 12, 2010 Hello there, We've tried that five times, and it still didn't work :( . I'm guessing its some kind of hardware compatibility. So, I think how I'm going to solve it is to install a Linux OS, such as CentOS or Ubuntu. Thank you for your help. Quote
