chakotay2 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 The I64 version of 2008 does not self-boot on its own. (it's not a bootable DVD once imaged). I am running WinXP Pro 32 bit but have free partitioned space to dual boot Server 2008 I64. It won't install within windows (says not a valid win32 op)... so my question is, how do I install it? I have tried re-imaging with VLite... no luck... Any suggestions? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted May 30, 2008 FPCH Admin Posted May 30, 2008 You can't run or install x64 software in a 32bit environment. Only way to install is make the dvd bootable. I have burned every build of Windows 2008 while beta testing and not once did any of them not boot. You must have a bad iso. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest

FPCH Admin AWS Posted May 31, 2008 FPCH Admin Posted May 31, 2008 Which ever you choose will work. You could install either x86 64 or x86 32. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
