No Audio after approving June's microsoft updates

I approved all updates that were not dealing with x64, or Itanium-based

systems to a test group last night (6/11/08). This morning, a few laptops

lost their audio. One was able to restart and correct itself, but the

'default device' settings were changed in the audio properties of the others.

Is anyone aware of this issue? The laptop that was able to restart is a

HP6910p with XP, two others have XP, one is an HP Compaq nc6400 and the

other I'm not sure of.

I have about 420 more computers/servers to approve updates for, and I don't

want to approve them and cause myself headaches from user's calls.
