Guest rolfijn Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Dear list, For a client i am working at improving the policies for their windows network (windows 2003, domain, 6 servers). One of the options we want to use is the possibility to redirect the start-menu in order to create centralised start-menu's. I have this basicly working: Created a share \\server\startmenu ans placed all necesery items in here and created a test-policy to enable the folder redirection for the start- menu. I have now the following problem: In the \\server\startmenu-share i created a folder "programma's" (dutch for programs). However, after logging in, the programs item in my start-menu shows: "leeg", meaning "empty". Whenever i rename the "programma's" folder in the \\server \startmenu-share to something like "programs" i do get an entry in my start-menu but at the same level as the "programma's" item: programs > ------------ programma's > documenten > instellingen > .... So, i can see the items my redirected start-menu should contain as log as i do not put them in a folder \\servername\startmenu\programma's . But in order to get a properly fionctioning start-menu i will have to create such a folder since the items will have to appear under the "programma's" item. Has anybody encountered this before? Thanks in advance, Rolf Deenen Quote
