Posted April 22, 201014 yr Hi. I have dedicated server with CentOS 5. I want to reformat it. I need to do this via IPMI. I know there was some problems with formating linux with windows server 2003 because linux do something with bootmanager. Does anyone know is this issuse in windows server 2008 too or not? And does anyone have some expirience installing windows over IPMI P.S. sry for bad english
July 19, 201014 yr Whereas I do not have experience with this, Im willing to say that if 03 had the issue, then 08 will too. I assume you have to do it over IPMI because your server is at a datacenter? Cant their NOC personnel do this for you? Any host that requires you to pay for a reformat of your server is kinda shady...
