emurrah Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Greetings, My organization currently has a bidirectional, external trust established with another domain NOT in our forest. Both domains are running a mix of Server 2000 and Server 2003. Later this year, both domains plan on upgrading all of their domain controllers to Server 2008. We understand in order to upgrade the 2000 DC's we have to first upgrade them to 2003 and then to 2008. So my question is, from a 2000>2003 and ultimately 2008 upgrade, will this destroy the external trusts on these domain controllers or will the trust remain after the upgrade? Again, these domains are not in the same forest. Thanks. Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 6, 2010 FPCH Admin Posted April 6, 2010 First you can't upgrade to 2008. You have to do a clean install and then migrate your setting that you saved to the new server. Doing it this way should not lose any settings. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
