PowerPoint and mpg

Having just got new laptop with Vista installed and all PowerPoint files

added, am having problems with presentation when played through the projector.

The problem is that the mpg movies play on the computer but not through the

projector. Other movie files (wmv and avi) connect properly. After playing

around with computer, the same files play through the projector but do not

appear on the computer. The secret is to find how to get both to work.
