others post too. While I have used Ubuntu I didn't find it that exciting,

but then I don't find Vista that exciting either neither have any WoW

factor for me. But, as this is a Windows based forum I cannot see the point

of trying to 'sell' the notion that Ubuntu (or any brand of Linux) is better

than what a person is already using. Most users on this newsgroup are well

aware that other operating systems exist. They made a choice to either buy

Windows (regardless of version) or else buy a PC with a version of Windows

installed. No one forces anyone to buy something they don't want (unless

they are either impressionable or totally gullible) and that is one thing

that the user's of this and other newsgroups are not.

I have used everything... and I must state this to you very clearly:

 

If MS didn't have the power to push vista on new computers and if MS wasn't

counting on the fear of people of the unknown (linux - ubuntu)

they would be in BIG trouble with the lame excuse of an OS they released.

 

If only I could install corel, photoshop and several other professional

grade programs on Linux, I would switch to ubuntu, the robust,

and malware immune platform any day!

As more and more users open their Windows Fail or Windows Live Fail,

they will see a little thing misnamed "Microsoft Communities". Most will

NOT have heard of Ubuntu but will be fed up with Vista. Hence, my noble
