If they weren't free, would you pay for them? Be honest now. I doubt

they are free. You must have some kind of MS subscription that you pay for.

Think what you want. The foolish are the people here trying to shove Ubuntu

down our throats.

All I know is that I want an OS that allows me to do my work. Ubuntu

doesn't provide that. Period.

There are quite a few developers who purchase machines with the OS already

installed. Most people purchase machines with the OS preinstalled. Most

people don't want Ubuntu.

OK. 1 point for you in that category. I don't browse for porn on my

here, and you don't need any Vista help.

You're a fukkin liar! Go to the Canon/Epson web sites and try and find

linux drivers for their printers and scanners.

Report back when you find them.

Who has shoved Ubuntu down your throat here? Is someone forcing you to

read the posts of those that mention Ubuntu?

Good for you. Your work is tied to Microsoft Windows so that makes it

the best choice for you.

Most people don't need the specialty windows-only programming tools you

need, and Ubuntu does provide most people with an alternative to Windows.

What's the big deal?

Windows good for Bill

Ubuntu good for Alias

Choice good for EVERYONE!

Now, let's just join hands and sing Kumbaya! :)

No need. The drivers are included with Ubuntu and Epson printers and

scanners work right out of the box. No need to install the drivers

either, just plug your printer and scanner into the USB ports and you're

ready to go. Open a word processing program and print it. Open XSane and

it detects your scanner, configures it and you're ready to scan. It's

MUCH easier than Windows of any flavor. Course, had you really installed

Ubuntu, you would know this but you're too brainwashed to even try Ubuntu.

Yes, those who have discovered Ubuntu have jumped up and down with joy once

they remove it from their PC and put XP or Vista on it.

Remember, Ubuntu is FREE and has been FREE for sometime now. You would

think that a FREE product which would make the computing experience smooth

and exciting for people, would be installed by the millions and bypass

Microsoft. This hasn't happened. Businesses who need to be careful with

their money dismiss Ubuntu as just a TOY. Business would rather spend

thousands and Office than to waste thousands on the FREE OpenSores Office.

Imagine that.

You just can't comprehend that fact. That speaks boatloads about you.

Most of the business users know there is Linux and Ubuntu out there. They

know Linux for what it is. They ditch it as it is just a TOY. Business

users would rather pay for MS Office than to use OpenSores Office. Go

Sorry. I don't have a subscription, my clients pay for the development

tools that I need. They also pay me to develop software. If they wern't

free to me I would pay for them because I need them. I would make the money

back many times over.

Wrong. Look at the numbers. Ubuntu has a very small percentage of the

market. I don't need to speak for it. The majority use a Microsoft

solution. Not me speaking but the numbers. Look them up.

Remove that point.

OO is gaining new users every day, dude. It has a fully functional word

processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and database.

Too bad you cannot comprehend that fact. That speaks vistaloads about

you!

You're a fukkin liar!

No need to install the drivers

There are no drivers for Canon/Epson scanners and printers.

Open a word processing program and print it. Open XSane and

More of your lies? My God give it up you moron...you're only fooling and

lying to yourself!

Then why even bother to mention your non-porn browsing habits at all?

It hasn't helped George W. Bush, or are you saying he'd be even a worse
