I have a physical install of Server 2008 and a virtual machine install of Server 2008. The physical install has AD, DNS, and DFS installed. The virtual only has DNS and DFS.

I am able to ping by name and IP on both systems the opposite system without any issues. However, I am not able to browse the virtual on the physical in the networks listing. (They are both in the same domain--we will call them server1.home.com and server2.home.com--so they are both in home.com.)I can browse the physical from the virtual.

When I create a namespace on the physical and then put a folder in there from the physical it works fine. I cannot locate a folder on the virtual as it does not see the virtual. This is what I need help with. Why can I not see the virtual? Even adding server2 (the virtual) as a user/computer doesn't work. I have made sure that the folder I am sharing out on server2 (the virtual) has all the appropriate permissions, etc but still is not seen.

I hope someone can help me with this or at least point me in the right direction to find the answer. Thanks.
