Guest MasterS Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Ribbons.scr seems to not leave memory when i select it for the screensaver, seems windows doesnt want to let go of it so it eats up alot of the cpu untill i kill it out of memory, it seems to be only the little preview screen that is doing this, when i select it as a screensaver it doesnt leave even if i select another screensaver. I have 8 gig of memory 2.6ghz dual core processor, 8800 gtx Ultra Video card, so i dont think its lack of hardware. Funny thing about this if i select it as the screensaver then close the screensaver screen and kill ribbons out of memory it runs and works correctly, its only the little preview screen of it that will not leave memory, in fact if i look at another screensaver and then go back to ribbons bingo i will have 2 of them in memory and i can do this and get as many as i want in memory, i suppose this makes for a nice CPU stress test lol max's it out at 100% with 2 or 3 of them running at once, as i have stated though if i close the screensaver screen and bring up task manager and kill the ribbons running in memory, the screensaver will function normally and leave memory normally when you move your mouse its just the little preview window that is causing this, any ideas at all on this, if no one has any ideas i would at least like to report it as a bug.
