Guest Giulio Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I found this a start. I still continued to get the error message after activating auto updates. The problem was that i was installing from an original XP Pro install CD. I needed to also install the Windows Genuine Advantage plugin. Once that was installed Windows Update managed to complete it's checks.
