hopw can i restore oritinal windows update

when i originally got windows update on my new vista computer, it searched

for updates to the OS (Vista) only. i then configured it (i don't remember

how) to search for updates to Office.

 

i would like to eliminate the updates to Office either by

(1) deselecting the recommended updates and tell it not to ask again (the

boxes are checked again each time and it's annoying), or

(2) restore to the original Updates configuration so that it only searches

for updates to Vista.

 

Does anyone know how to do this? I've been searching and searching with no

success. Thanks.
