A friend was just telling me, (he works in a radio station) that they got a

new pc for him at the station with vista but will be formatting it to

install xp because they don't allow vista.. LOL

its so funny.... I actually tried to defend vista telling him that its not

sooo bad with SP1, but he is sure they don't care.

Vista is hunted down like the Frankenstein monster it is.. (notice

Frankenstein has the name frank in it?) ! lol

Yeah, like we haven't heard THAT ONE before. Numbered in the millions!

Already have a Mac, and OSX86 installed on this box. Linux is useless.

MOST businesses don't allow Vista on any of their computers. That's why

Microsoft has to rely on preloading Vista on lo-end OEM boxes sold at

No, the truth. Their specialized medical software program will not work

Yep. Just like MOST businesses didn't allow XP on any of their computers

until around late 2003/early 2004, over 2 years after release. Hell, my

wife just got XP in January of this year where she works! They still were

using 2000!

Nothing has changed. XP will be gradually phased out, Vista will be

gradually phased in. These things take time and planning.

Yeah, especially activate, get genuine and go all over the Net to get

updates for your programs. You are in a minority most people can't

stand Vista and it will be the demise of Microsoft and you're smart to

have a Mac and Linux nearby.

Alias

Nah.. Vista will not be phased in ever.

It will be skipped. If windows7 turns up to be as good as things show,

companies will jump directly to that, oh boy vista will just be called the

"Me" of NT and avoided and used in tech jokes.

I have been using it since it was beta, lol

I've been with MS in every step of the devolution of their windows and

office interface..

this is not innovation. The people who designed these interfaces are

monkeys.

Can you say consistency?

Lets see.. in office they bring every command out on bars with tabs, so many

that its confusing.. but wait, in windows explorer and internet explorer

they HIDE the commands, lock the toolbars so you cant bring out icons, and

remove the icons you are used to...

LOL I cant see why so many people fail to see so many obvious mistakes.

Is it perhaps that you are a fanboy? I am not fanboy.. I wont hesitate even

a millisecond to say something is crap

when its crap no matter who makes it.

Right. "Most people" - and you know this how, exactly?

The fact is more people are using Vista after 1 year than are using Linux

after 15 years. Sounds to me like its Linux that "most people" can't

stand!

I have Macs nearby - always have since the SE/30. Linux is still useless

to me, but I do keep checking the latest "this one is the one" distro that

happens every year!
