I doubt any MS employees applied any of those stickers. Let's call a duck a

duck, shall we?

Manufacturers bought/made the hardware.

Manufacturers built/assembled the systems.

Manufacturers decided if their computers were Vista-Capable or not.

Manufacturers applied stickers to their products/packaging.

Manufacturers advertised their XP computers as Vista-Capable.

Manufacturers sold those computers.

If some of the Manufacturers didn't follow the specs, and didn't bother Beta

testing Vista on their computers before telling consumers they would run

Vista, then why would MS be held legally responsible for someone else's

advertised hardware? It just doesn't make sense from any stand point except

greed. MS has the money, so MS gets sued. Why? Because Manufacturers wanted

to sell more XP machines six months before Vista was released.

Sir... "global consequences"? Seriously?

All you post is a ridiculous amount of fluff, and ZERO facts, just like the

rest of the useless lazy trolls in here.

Thanks for the laughs.

Thanks Tom. No tech support, no refunds. I am not an idiot but I agree that

98, me, 2000 and xp were very user friendly. I taught myself. But not with

this one. $900.00 /6months ago, out of pocket. Since Vista I cannot seem to

complete most things that I start so I mostly don't even use my pc anymore.

Nothing seems to function completely.

MS's trademark is used in the program. That is MS's seal of approval.

Vista-Capable was a program created by MS and its moron marketing

department. That's why MS is getting sued.

So lets call the mastermind of this anti-consumer marketing con-job a

duck.

"Exactly. So, logically..."

"If... she... weighs... the same as a duck,... she's made of wood."

"And therefore?"

"A witch!"

Well you certainly showed him how to not to use fluff, and how to use

Now why don't you try to explain your own opinion on why Vista's impact

"... if you still don't agree that means you are biased ..." - so at which

point did you become the final arbiter on what is good and what is not in

operating system design (please don't bother with saying that just because

you can Google and see some people having problems then it proves there are

masses and masses of people with issues - that process was resoundingly

beaten to death in the group recently - and obviously the millions of happy

Vista users do not need to go to newsgroups and website to say how happy

they are, they just get on with using their device.).

I suppose you could say using your "logic" that those of use with no

problems at all and thousands of deployed Vista machines also not

experiencing any problems are the majority/norm and that Vista is a

perfectly acceptable OS and therefore anyone who thinks as you do is biased!

(it works both ways).

Like all products particularly ones that have to support a near infinite mix

of hardware and software there will be those that experience some issues and

plenty you will not.

Not interested.

Vista runs great for me.

Among other things, you probably have inadequate hardware.

Just to clarify on how accurate Google searches are, I done a quick

test. I used the search terms "Vista is great" and "Vista is rubbish".

The search was conducted both with and without quotes, which as any

googler knows, greatly affects the results returned.

Here is the results of my test:

*vista is great

*Results Returned : 15,300,000

*vista is rubbish*

Results Returned : 347,000

*"vista is great"*

Results Returned : 17,100

*"vista is rubbish"*

Results Returned : 5,520

I think the results speak for themselves:

Search conducted without quotes:

15,300,000 (Great) vs. 347,000 (Rubbish)

Winner! : Vista is great

Search conducted with quotes:

17,100 (Great) vs. 5,520 (Rubbish)

Winner! : Vista is great

Now how can you argue with results like that? But then again, I'm not a

"if it's on the internet, then it must be true" type, so I'll still

leave everyone to make their own judgments.
