Re: Michael Moore's Sicko, is GREAT!!!!!

More of your own name calling.

And you tell others who call names

"Name calling, typical of ten year olds"

Interesting how you describe yourself.

You should read your own posts before sending.

This post of yours as so many others shows you as one of the "control

freaks" you are so quick to label so many others.

Projection seems to apply to you in so many of your posts.

Re: Michael Moore's Sicko, is GREAT!!!!!

"Name calling, typical of ten year olds."

The fact you said that quite is telling since you call more people

names than almost anyone else here.

"think you have some right to tell people what they can and can't say"

However it seems you have described yourself yet again:

"stop blustering"

You are looking more as a hypocrite.

Telling others not to do what you continue to do.

All your TALK of Mensa and your own intelligence.

Of all those I have met in both groups, you are the ONLY one who

needed to brag.

Your need to brag brings doubt to your claims.

The inconsistencies of what you say and do, suggest your claims are no

more than a fantasy of yours.

No person has to be poor, and I know that for a fact, it's drive,

motivation and desire that get you out of being poor. I was poor when I

was growing up, not any more, and it was hard work, doing things I

didn't like, working 7d/w, long hours, etc... I don't support people

that want it handed to them and don't believe they should be supported.

Double Amen!

I am an American living in the Philippines (retired). Although I wouldn't

classify medical care here as excellent, I would say it's very good, and a

fraction of the cost of the USA. My wife is due to have a baby in December,

and the cost will be $1500-$2000 total. Let me say that again...that's TOTAL

cost for everything, including delivery at a major private hospital, and no

insurance. In this economy this price is viewed as VERY expensive. Most

locals utilize a midwife and deliver the baby at home for a fraction of my

quoted price.

MANY Americans come here for what would be a VERY EXPENSIVE medical

procedure in the States, and then use part of what they saved to stay a

little while and enjoy a mini-vacation.

Just when I thought you couldn't say anything dumber you actually do.

Amazing. You seem to equate earning more money with working harder.

The reality of course is often the reverse.

Some pot bellied CEO sitting in some ivory tower may earn a few

million in salary and several more in stock options and bonuses. About

the hardest "work" he does it pick up the phone.

Some guy breaking his back bent over for 10 hours in the blazing sun

picking lettuce obviously is working way harder, but gets paid next to

nothing and his luck he gets paid enough just to feed his family. For

him health insurance isn't an option no matter how hard he works.

Now make a complete ass of yourself and say the second guy isn't

working hard enough.

Get a clue, if over 40 million people in this country can't afford

health insurance the system is obviously broken and needs to be fixed.

That's what I like about Moore's films. Sure he's got an agenda, but

he doesn't try to hide it either. We need more film makers that are

passionate about the subjects they make films about. Most

documentaries put you to sleep. Moore's make you think and usually

there are a few laughs. Seeing Moore riding around in a ice cream

truck using a bullhorn to read the Patriot Act to Congress because

none of the bozos, Republican or Democrat bothered to read what they

put into law was priceless.

This thread is interesting in terms of the following:

What if this thread was posted by Kevin,

Do people still discuss it as much as you are doing now, or perhaps, you

simply humiliate the poster with all imaginable dirty words and then totally

ignore the thread because it is "off topic"?

Where are those "OT" rules imposed by many of you?

So what are you going to say, when Kevin posts a similar topic next time?

Agreed! Somebody needs to get out of the basement and experience what's

going on in the real world, or at the very least put their Internet

connection to better use.

As for Moore, his documentaries are great but there is undoubtedly bias

within them. Something hard to avoid when it's something you are passionate

about. But ultimately his documentaries speak volumes of truth that is hard

to ignore.

You're lack of knowledge is showing.

The Philippines is not a 1st world country. Most of those that are lucky

enough to even have a job here normally work 10-12 hours a day, 6-7 days a

week, and earn $4-$5 a day. So yes, $1500 is out of reach, and for many it's

an annual income. NOTHING like America.
