What Comes First?

I have a Windows Home Server and I would like to add Hyper V stand alone to the server box. Can someone tell me how to both to work? Do I install Hyper V then on another partition install WHS? Can I make the new partition without reinstalling WHS? Sorry I am lost as to what to do first. I also want to install Linux on this box.

 

Is there a tutorial somewhere that I can learn about this?

Use hyper-v manager to create a new virtual machine. Then install the OS like you would on a regular computer.
