No, they'd go to http://www.ubuntu.com and buy a support contract from

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu. Just like you'd buy a support

contract from Microsoft for Windows...

indeed...) oh gosh.. I'm SOOOO SICK of dealing with Vista problems..

every day that goes by I'm more inclined to sell my pc and switch to a

mac... (but: I recently discovered an interesting thing about macs: no

option of installing digital cable tv tuner inside mac -- or am I

missing something?? main reason am interested in having tv tuner inside

computer is so I only have ONE display in my bedroom (instead of a

display for the computer AND a TV.. but in spite of this would still

switch to mac if Vista problems become unbearable.. at least I wont have

all the headaches I've had w/Vista..)

well, guess what... now when I go to "set up TV" in Win Media Ctr it

says it can't find a TV tuner.. (not that it can't find the CARD from

the cable co. -- it can't find the TV tuner inside my machine..) this

gets better and better... every day that goes by I'm more inclined to

switch to a mac... ok, I think we can close this thread, am now trying

to get help in vista.music_pictures_video..

That only means that the drivers for the tv card are not installed.

(not that it can't find the CARD from

Right, the drivers are not installed.

this
