Savin 7570 Printer Smb Is Ignored By Win 2008 Server

a Savin 7570 printer with scanner worked well with Win2K. with Win2008, printer works fine BUT attempts to get scanner feature set up fails. It uses SMB to validate path and subsequently transfer scanned documents to folder on server. Printer technician does not know Win 2008 server. I believe that it is additional security or new level of SMB that needs modification to be able to recognize and respond to printer attempt to validate storage folder.

 

anyone got suggestions?
