Server 2003 dropping connection

I have recently had a new pc at work as has my colleague (dell inspiron

6400). Since having my new laptop the connection when in server 2003 is

disconnecting intermitted for 30 seconds to a minute. The settings are the

same as my previous laptop which never disconnected.

 

Is their any security updates which could affect this or configurations with

the new laptop?

 

Any help would be much appreciated

    Would like to add the session is only being dropped about half a dozen hours

    within a working day. Also it tends to drop the connection when the server

    window is minimized.
