Backup On A External Lan Hdd

Hi,

 

we have a Windows 2008 R2 Server and a 500GB external LAN HDD. I want to run a Backup on the external HDD. So I connected the Shared Folder on that drive with "net use" and created an ".vhd" on it. This I used as Target for the Backup.

 

The backup worked well for approximately one week. After a reboot I was able to connect the image anymore.

 

I always get this Error: "Die Version unterstützt diese Version des Dateiformats nicht."

 

If I copy the vhd Image to an internal drive and try to connect this, it works.
