I download the trial version from Microsoft and burnt it on to a DVD.

I put it inside the DVD drive and reboot the computer.

According to Microsoft website, this should last 60 days and prolongation too is possible.

It recognized and started installing very well.

In the middle of the installation process, it prompted me to write a password.

I wrote a password and it was accepted.

Afterwards, I am forced to write the password again.

It does not accept it. It says the password is incorrect.

I reformatted the hard drive and try again twice.

The same old problem arises.

What shall I do?

Yes. You set the admin password during the install. Then you use it to login after install.

You must not have wrote down the correct password or you have cap locks on. You have to use a secure password with number, letters and special characters for logging into Windows Server 2008. You more than likely didn't write down the one you used during install correctly.

Hi Tack,

Yes, you must secured those important accounts, you should not memorize it , you have be assure what password did you use. Because windows 2008 is totally high secured, maybe you missed something.

Anyway, you may use this reference about Microsoft Windows 2008 Hyper-V RTM Installation & Configuraiton step by step. This will help some guidelines and tips..

Thanks.
