I will keep top posting and that's that! Don't like it, too bad!! This is

where it opens when I reply to a post within the microsoft discussion groups,

I don't use my windows live mail for newsgroups!

Selective/relevant snipping helps a *lot*.

Yes.

They don't cancel out here. OE is an adequate e-mail client for

most...but, not the best UseNet tool.

Still cooler. :)

Who cares. Most of the Wintards that post in Microsoft's "discussion groups"

are too stupid to tie their own shoes.

Cheers.

The 'best' of anything is always subjective, so I can't say.

I've used XNews for a decade. I like the MDI instead of an SDI, but it does

have it's quirks, like any piece of s/w.

Robyn, I bet you can't tell from my post any of the history related to your

post and why you answered what you did.

See my post a bit earlier in this thread explaining why:

If one "won't waste their time" bottom posting, I doubt they'll edit

anything.

Your mail client doesn't place a delimiter above your sig when you top

post either.

Agreed but I've found I finally had to scorefile people using the

horrible CDO for posting, again, too many clueless people.

BTW, you might want to update your copy of Xnews, your version is 6

years old and there have been a lot of new releases since. The current

version is 2006.08.24

Its the horrible web interface that MS directs people to - in the past, the

first link on MS websites used to open the newsgroup in OE (or whatever

newsreader was in use), now the first link is to the horrible web

interface...

No problem, you can always go back if there's something you don't like

about the latest version, Blinky has now archived many older releases

on his site.

CDO = "I'm such a newbie I think a web interface is OK for posting to

When you figure out what you're talking about, you'll realize OE won't,

on its own, allow ANY but the top cursor positioning.
