Posted July 11, 200717 yr Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit MSI.dll version 4.0.6000.16386 dated 02/11/2006 10:46 size 2,095,616 bytes I manually run 'Windows Update', for Windows and other products from Microsoft update, at least once a week on a Wednesday, and at other times during the week. A number of times over the last few months, usually when there are a number of updates part way through the installation process i get a popup message stating 'Windows Modules Installer stopped working and was closed'. The installation process hangs at this point and i have to restart the computer. Running the update again finds the previous update which usually installs the second time around. Today i have had to go through this process 3 or 4 times in order to get the dozen or so updates to install. Any thoughts? Many thanks in anticipation of your comments.
