FPCH Admin AWS Posted August 21, 2009 FPCH Admin Posted August 21, 2009 Re: I'm looking to to make a Windows based load-balancing cluster, can WS 2008 do thi Those services are only availbale in Server OS. There is software that you can purchase and install on Windows Vista or Windows 7 however you really want to use a server os. Windows 2008 would be ideal and using the core would be best to save on resources. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
Advice Pro Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Re: I'm looking to to make a Windows based load-balancing cluster, can WS 2008 do thi In WS 2008, is there anything special that I need to due in order to use it as a load-balancing cluster? I would think that it's set at default to be off high availability or failover cluster. How would the load-balancing cluster handle CPU cores. Can I combine them all, an example, 4 3.0 GHz CPU Quad-cores would equal 12 GHz of CPU power? Quote
