docdom Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 All, I have a Dell PowerEdge 2900 running Server2008 Standard and everytime I log off while sitting at the server the screen resolution goes back to 640x480. Once I log in each time I have to change it back to my monitors default of 1400x900 and then eveything is good. Once I log off it goes back to 640x480. How do I get my screen resolution to stay at 1400x900? Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted August 9, 2009 FPCH Admin Posted August 9, 2009 Have you tried updating the video driver? It sounds like you are using an older version of the driver which is causing the resolution to revert back to the default settings. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
jimbo45 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Hi there You probably need to add the Video Accelerator driver (INTEL) for the chipset you are using You can get this from the Intel / Dell sites For example you might need the GMXXX express graphics chipset driver where GMXXX is the chipset on your board. Check the INTEL site (or AMD if using their hardware). Note most of the Windows 7 X-64 drivers will work on W2008 R2. I don't think there are many (if any) specific W8 drivers yet. Cheers jimbo Quote
