You have my deepest sympathy.

I know that it is upsetting to find that one's mostly deeply held truths

have always been wrong.

Forget it David. You're dealing with the most arrogant, lying linux

troll to every visit this ng.

He left once, promising to never return...which turned out to be just

another one of his incessant lies. He hates MS and Vista and thinks the

sun rises on all things linux.

Of all the people in all the ng's his daily actions are the most egregious.

Wrong, I paid for a copy of the software or music and that's exactly

what I got. Now telling me what I can do with my legally obtained copy

of software or music is what I'm talking about.

Compared to what MS has scammed off of people, the Nigerian scams are

How about assuming most people are honest like they used to? That

assumption didn't stop them from having more money than most third world

Re: alias is an idiot, please ignore all alias's posts!

Note that although some people use just the apostrophe after singular nouns

ending in s (the witness' testimony, Burns' poetry), the -'s is generally

preferred because it more accurately reflects the modern pronunciation of

these forms. However, in a few cases where the -'s is not pronounced, it is

usual to add just the apostrophe: for righteousness' (appearance') sake.

Another one who can't address content and can only use ad hominems in a

lame attempt to distract from the fact that you're WRONG. Try this, hot

shot, put Alias's in Thunderbird, MS Word or anything that has English

real time spell check and see what happens. Then put Alias' and see what

happens. I have and each and every application says that Alias' is fine

but Alias's isn't. Oops.

You're the messenger?

You're nothing but a lying POS linux troll.

Who do you think you're fooling (other than yourself!).

Frank

Re: alias is an idiot, please ignore all alias's posts!

OK, fool.

I put the following sentences in MS Word 2007

We went to Alias’s house. We went to Alias’ house.

Please ignore Alias’ posts. Please ignore Alias’s posts.

James' car was wrecked. James's car was wrecked.

None were marked incorrect. Yes, I do have real time grammar and spell

check turned on.

When I typed:

He hit Achilles' heel. He hit Achilles's heel.

The second of the two was marked wrong.

Yes, this is perfectly consistent with numerous online style manuals. Try

this one.

http://www.grammarbook.com/english_rules.asp All of the following examples

are correct:

Mr. Jones's golf clubs

Texas's weather

Ms. Straus's daughter

Jose Sanchez's artwork

Dr. Hastings's appointment (name is Hastings)

Mrs. Lees's books (name is Lees)

Frank may be indelicate but he is correct. You are a moron.

software/music/whatever?

*copy*, not the royalties or right of payment or anything else your

twisted mind might make up.
