Guest Nickoman Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Suggestion 1. Rename CatRoot2 folder at C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2 Suggestion 2. Register system files. 1. Click Start, Run, type: notepad C:\register.bat and press Enter. Choose Yes when you are prompted. 2. Copy the following commands and then paste them into the opened Notepad window. net stop wuauserv regsvr32 wuapi.dll /s regsvr32 wups.dll /s regsvr32 wuaueng.dll /s regsvr32 wucltui.dll /s regsvr32 wuweb.dll /s regsvr32 msxml.dll /s regsvr32 msxml2.dll /s regsvr32 msxml3.dll /s regsvr32 urlmon.dll /s net start wuauserv regsvr32 softpub.dll /s regsvr32 initpki.dll /s regsvr32 mssip32.dll /s regsvr32 wintrust.dll /s regsvr32 dssenh.dll /s regsvr32 rsaenh.dll /s regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll /s regsvr32 sccbase.dll /s regsvr32 slbcsp.dll /s regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll /s regsvr32 jscript.dll /s 3. After you paste the above commands, please close the Notepad window. Choose Yes when you are prompted to save the file. 4. Click Start, Run, type: C:\register.bat and press Enter to run the commands we have pasted. Suggestion 3: Check services 1. Click Start->Run, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks) in the open box and click OK. 2. Double click the service "Automatic Updates". 3. Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option "Local System account" is selected and the option "Allow service to interact with desktop" is unchecked. 4. Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware Profile. If not, please click the Enable button to enable it. 5. Click on the tab "General " make sure the "Startup Type" is "Automatic" or "Manual". Then please click the button "Stop" under "Service Status" to stop the service. 6. Then please click the button "Start" under "Service Status" to start the service. 7. Please repeat the above steps with the other services: Background Intelligent Transfer Service Event Log Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Note: Event log service is enabled on all of the hardware profiles this service does not have an option to enable or disable on certain hardware profile. _____________________________________________________________________- Thanks man :D that was really helpfull the only helpfull thing on whole the site :) Quote
