Print button greyed out

Hi. Having an issue where the print button becomes greyed out across all

applications. The problem appears seemingly out of nowhere, regardless of

printer type, driver, local or networked.

 

You are then unable to delete or install a new printer until the PC is

rebooted. Users are members of the administrator group but the accounts are

restricted in some ways through a group policy rolled out via a sysprepped

image.

 

It seems to point to a rights issue but can't pinpoint it. Any suggestions?
