I like my new computer with Vista, except or one thing, I cannot

search for files and get anywhere . The search bar seldom seems to

bring me any results.

Can anyone recommend a file search (my own PC files, not the web)

freeware I can download, or can I copy the search files from my Win

98SE computer, and if so, which files and where do I save them on my

Vista computer?

Vista search works very well for me. I learned a lot by reading the Help

files that are accessible from the Search window. I use the Advanced Search

feature a lot, and am sure to check the box that says "Include non-indexed,

hidden, and system files (might be slow)" when I am doing a thorough search.

Otherwise, I like the 'search ahead' aspect of the regular search I get

more specific results by using " " marks around my search phrase if it is a

really short one. Hope this helps.
