I have a question about wsus, which i inherited in this network at work.

Is that true that after a certain amount of time the updates expired?

All PC on the net are updated with what i approve but if i join a new XP

workstation in the network, how can i make it to download all updates which i

already approved and that are already installed on all the other clients??

It seems i am not able to have it download all the past approved updates

Hello Alzana,

If you move the new workstation to the computer group it will get all updates

you have approved. By default it will not move to your self created Computer

groups. Did you check this? Also it is important that the new workstations

will be on the OU in AD where the policy is applied to.

Best regards

Hello Alzana,

Sometimes MS have expired updates and will mark them as expired in WSUS,

but you can still see them in the list. How is you timeconfig for the clients

to report to WSUS?

Hello Alzana,

With the wuau.adm from MS you can configure a GPO with all settings for the

clients also in which timeframe they look to the server and so on.
