I am unable to download/save any programs or open attachamnets from internet

explorer 7! I have tried a restore (no success), disabled add ons, turned

off Norton, changed startup menu, changed internet tools and nothing. When

I open a file it progresses and disappears when saving to desktop sometimes

the icon will appear for a split second and then disappear. My temporary

file is empty?? Any Ideas??

    Try to use " Orbit downloader" to download ur file from internet ....... It

    has compatabilty with vista...........Also Change ur antivirus( norton) and

    try "Avast" to scan ur pc for viruses.......... I hope this will help ur

    problem......

    Thanks but as I mentioned, I am unable to download anything, including new

    software or programs. I can't even open an email attachment. I have no idea

    what to do..........

    first check ur firewall setting......And then check ur IE7---> tools

    option---> internet option---> Security Tab.......In that set ur security

    level to "medium" or "mediun-high"............ I think ur system get any

    virus ........ Scan ur system......
