ThunderSoul Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Hello, Does anyone know if Windows Server 2008 Foundation Edition can support an e-mail server? If so, how would I go about setting it up? Thank you! Quote

I was actually asking if Win Server 2008 Foundation can be the actual e-mail server, so that the company can have their own e-mail addresses such as name1@company.com. Is this still a yes? Thank you! sahas20 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I think your talking about exchange in the server. If that's the thing you need to buy exchange component seperatly. But you can install Windows 2008 small business server 2008. It come's with exchange. it alows you to keep your mail locally. Also you can make name1@company.com email addresses. But for that you need to register a Domain and a domain name for your company. Also you need a static ip. I'm not sure if this is what your after. hope this will help. Quote
sinichi33 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 You can use smartermail email server application if you want. from smartertools.com they provide the free version, which you can use for up to 10 email addresses. Please check it. Quote
