I would like to delete Microsoft Office also. Is not Microsoft Word Processor

under Microsoft Works just as good or Open Office? If I delete Office, it

should not delete Works, right?

Only _you_ can be the judge of that, depending upon how you use the program

and your word processing needs.

No, not under normal circumstances. They are a separate suite of programs..

KarlC@ (the obvious)

I wouldn't bet on it.

Works is a watered-down version of Office. Most computer users have one,

but not both installed.

If you have Office, it's the one I'd keep.

Or are you referring to the Office 2007 trial?

I am referring to the Office 2007 trial. I would like to agree with Swingman.

Is it not 2 separate programs?

Sorry,

yes, if you don't want the Office 2007 trial, then you should be able to

uninstall it. It is a separate program.

Microsoft Word is a component of Works *Suite*. Is that what you have?

Deleting Office does not delete Works.

Whether Works is as good as Open Office is a matter of taste, but most

people would probably think Open Office is better than Works.

Almost everyone thinks Microsoft Office is better than Works. Why

would you want to delete Microsoft Office and keep Works?

Don't really need it. Just for home use. Got new HP laptop and just trying to

get rid of all this stuff they preload. I got rid of more than half of game's

that are not needed. But those were easy. They're just putting too much stuff

on it that, not everyone want's.
