Guess what...changing the video cards, adding memory or changing nic's

hasn't caused any of our Vista boxes to require reactivation.

That's because they don't know any better and believe the FUD that Linux

is only for geeks.

Depends on the country. In Spain, you gotta buy it with a new computer

to get OEM. This is true for both XP and Vista and is a recent change in

Microsoft's policies.

Yeah Right !

Its because Linux is useless.

Unless, all you need is a word processor PC.

Windows plays Crysis, and legally plays DVD's.

I prefer fedora core personally, but I have tried out ubuntu and have

not had any major problems with it either. They just dumbed it down too

much. When I had it installed, I had to remove the gnome screensavers

and install the x-windows screensaver because they took too many options

out of the gnome screensavers.

Linux is a POS os and at best is only a toy. All you can do is lie about it.

Why would I want to mention crysis? Is it something everyone needs? Or

wants? I asked the question about dvds. I can play dvds on kubuntu just

fine. Tell me why it is illegal.

Oh of course I have. I proly installed more linux distros than you've

ever heard of and before you ever heard of linux.

My favorite os was BEos...before SJ killed it. But that's another story

all together.

What I don't get is how little progress any linux distro has made over

the last 5-7 yrs in the desktop computing market. Pathetic. But then

again, it is the most disorganized conglomeration of wannabes and ego

driven fringe lunatics ever assembled...or loosely weaved, I've ever

seen. It's easy to see how you and linux are attracted to each other.

Other than LT and RS, who are mainly kooks, linux has no leadership...no

driving force a la BG/SB. Unless that changes, and I doubt it ever will,

linux will forever remain a fringe element in the computer desktop market.

You failed to mention that in your post (quoted at the top of this one).

Vista would likely pass a WGA check in this case as well.

Makes you appear even more clueless about WGA.

Not in the UK though. In fact, Amazon.co.uk are selling them.

Um, the video card and the NIC will trigger WGA. Don't believe me? Try

it and you'll see. That said, why should I have to educate myself on

WGA? Why should I have to prove, over and over again, that I paid for

something? Why does WGA assume the user is guilty of theft and piracy

until they prove otherwise?
