My first symptom was when I was trying to download teamspeak. it pointed me

to an ftp site for the download but when I clicked on it, it did nothing or

gave me 'page not found' message.

The second symptom: I try to use the command prompt function 'ftp' to a ftp

server I know works and It says that it connected but it immediately says

"connection closed by remote host."

Also, when I try to use Core FTP LE to connect to my webserver's ftp site it

couldn't even connect at all.

However, I did narrow it down a bit. I turned off my firewall from the

security center and everything worked perfectly fine.

Any insights would be appreciated.

That's narrowing it down more than a bit. Tell the firewall to accept FTP

connections.

In my firewall exceptions 'file transfer program' is selected. Also, I don't

need ftp coming in, I need it going out.
