supersi Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I've just installed Windows Server 2008 as my workstation. I installed the latest stable uTorrent. When I went to download a torrent I get this message Attached file: Untitled1242162087.jpg (14 KB) I have tried googling a solution but no one offers a solution I can understand. I didn't come across anything that says it utorrent can't be used on Server 2008. I think it might have something to do with permissions. Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted May 12, 2009 FPCH Admin Posted May 12, 2009 I would think that torrent files have the wrong file association. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
shaun Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I use uTorrent daily! No issues. I bet that temp location either might not exist, or the account to which uTorrent is using currently is using doesn't have access to that path. Check the settings withing uTorrent and change where its downloading and moving completed files to. I point everything to my downloads folder, and it works like a champ. =] HTH's! Quote
winstonterr Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi, Are there any Microsoft Websites where I can enter my serial key for Windows Server 2008 or 2003 to check it's validity before installing the software?Or, can I install it on my computer as dual boot, and go to install it, enter the key, and if it continues to the next page (before installing it) will that make it not work in the future? Or does it disable it once it installs the software? Thanks. Quote
braidy Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Hi, I am about to upgrade our windows server 2003 domain to a 2008 domain. All of our clients are either windows xp, windows 2000, windows server 2000 or windows server 2003. Are these going to work on the domain? Just thought that I should check since the process is irreversible. Quote
