Does anybody have the answer?

I would really like vista to update.

The solutions posted so far don't seem to relate to home basic. eg clicking

start then run.

Works in XP but not my vista.

I agree with you. I am using Windows Vista basic... expecting some resolution

You must use the command as an administrator in Vista.

I'm sorry but I must be missing something.

Maybe I need to be in safe mode?

There is no run to click on after start!
