RDP Sound Failure

I'm using Server 2008 x64 with a supported sound card, and I'm able to play sound locally on the server. However whenever I try to remote desktop to the server, it disables the sound, regardless of my RDP settings. I've tried Do Not Play and Play On Remote Computer, both disable the sound. I recently upgraded this server from 2003 to 2008, 2003 was working just fine with remote audio enabled. I use a windows 7 box to connect, again was working with 2003 using same box and connections. Sound is fine when I connect using VNC, however the overhead on the server while using VNC is very high, and I'd prefer to use RDP. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

I've never been able to get sound working remotely. I'm not sure if it even works. I know there is an option to enable it I'm just not sure that option does anything.
