I have a intel athom 330 board with windows 2008x64 sp1 and everything work great exept the audio!?

It is a Realtek* ALC662 audio codec (5.1 channel HD audio) Chip and i installed the new driver R2.21, in the readme stand that it works with Windows 2008 and yes when i plug in a speaker it pops up and ask me if it is a speaker.

In the Device Manager everything look ok.

I also activat the WindowsSound service.

But Windows say that there ist no soundkard?

The only thing I can think of is the high definition audio drivers are not installed correctly. Try uninstalling the device and rebooting tolet windows find and install the correct drivers.

i uninstalled the driver and boot new and installed it new but nothing work.

so i tryed the usb headset who works without installing a driver, but no sound -(

.

it seems a little bit strange in the Device Manager all seams ok

Have you tried to disable then enable? I would normally tell you to reseed the card, but since it is built in look for other drivers. I would make sure the it is working. Stick another HD load another OS on there and see if the sound works then. If you good to go, it is a driver issues. If not you have a busted chip=(

i found the error!

i always connect the server via remote desktop, and with the remote desktop i have this error. strange, because in the client i can decide between no sound, sound on server, sound on client and nothing works correct.
