I'm currently trying to get upto 50 people logged in via RDP and remote apps to use software installed on the server. This was all well and good on Win2000 but since migrating to Win2k8 there have been a lot of slowdown issues.

I have 2 servers, almost identical builds, and they are both being hit very hard.

SPEC:

====

SERVER 1:

Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz

6GB RAM

64-bit Windows Server 2008 Standard SP1

SERVER 2:

Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

6GB RAM

64-bit Windows Server 2008 Standard SP1

Normally, there are around 30 users logged in at any given time. Memory usage on both machines goes up to around 95-98% which slows down everything substantially.

Obviously, the easiest solution to this would be to increase the RAM. I'm just not sure how much to put in.

Any idea what kind of spec would be ideal for these conditions? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
