Hi,

I have an application that can run as a service and places monitoring

screens on the desktop. This service accesses document images stored on

another server. When run under the local service account the service starts,

the monitoring tools start on the desktop but it obviously cannot access the

images on the network. When I use another account to start the service (an

account with network access) the service does not initialize properly and the

desktop monitoring tools do not start. This problem even occurs whether I use

a domain admin account or local admin account.

The accounts I have tried have the right to logon as a service granted to

them so that can't be the issue.

Is there a way to allow a dedicated domain service account to have the same

priviliges as the local service account? Could the fact that the images are

stored on the cluster be part of the issue? Is there a tool I could use to

find out what is happening when the service attempts to start?

Thanks in Advance,
